Campaigns for the Chase

Cannock Chase is a special place, it is the smallest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and the largest open green space in the Midlands.

In the heart of the Chase is just under 5 square miles of heathland and ancient woodland which has the highest protective designation of Special Area of Conservation (SAC) because of it’s internationally important, yet fragile habitats.

Around a million people live within 9 miles of the Chase and understandably love to visit and enjoy the wildlife, open spaces and views.  The SAC partnership work with schools and communities as well as with landowners and partners on the Chase to ensure that visitors can have a wonderful time with the lowest possible impact on it’s sensitive and fragile habitats.

Small individual acts can make a huge collective difference to the precious habitats of the Chase.  There is lots you can do as a visitor to help please see the campaigns below to see what can be done.
