Ride Out UK Cannock Chase Guided Ride

On the 28 June the Cannock Chase Special Area of Conservation Partnership and British Horse Society teamed up to run a guided ride through Cannock Chase took place raising funds for the Ride Out UK campaign.

Despite the rain the ride was a great success, BHS Stage 2 Coach and endurance rider Sharon Moore led the group of riders who had never explored Cannock Chase before. The ride started with Kinga the Special Area of Conservation (SAC) Engagement Officer speaking  to the riders about the importance of protecting the flora and fauna whilst enjoying the bridleways.

Afterwards, riders commented saying it was a fantastic ride, beautiful scenery and helpful to have a guide. It was a friendly group, a nice pace to explore and a great opportunity to ride in the evening and lovely to be off-road.

Kinga from the SAC Partnership said: ‘’It was a pleasure to welcome our horse rider friends to Cannock Chase! It is very important to us to support all site users and educate about the sensitive and fragile environment. Please always remember to have an amazing time exploring the Chase, keep an eye for other site users, and ride responsibly on bridleways’’.
