Horse Riders

Cannock Chase is the largest open green space in the Midlands with an extensive bridleway network of 82 miles for riders to enjoy.

The Chase is a highly protected landscape with national and international designations and all visitors have the responsibility to treat it with care.

How you can help

Keep to the Bridleways – if you are not sure where they are use the UK Bridleway Finder. Expect to meet cyclists and dog walkers and the occasional works vehicle as they share some of these routes.

If you ride with a dog it must be under control and have excellent recall, expect to meet other dogs.  All dogs must be on a lead between the 1st March and 31st July on Open Access Land (most of Cannock Chase) and at all time around livestock.
