Join us to celebrate heathland in general and Cannock Chase in particular.  Find out about the different aspects of heathland and why it needs us all to protect it.

Tuesday 30th July IHL Family Fun at the Museum of Cannock Chase

A fun-filled morning at the Museum of Cannock Chase , explore the heathland on Hednesford Hills and get creative with a craft session inspired by the natural materials found during the walk.

This event is free to attend but places must be booked in advance as numbers are limited.

Suitable for children over 5 years old, walk not suitable for pushchairs.

Nature Arts & Crafts focussing on heathland wildlife

Perfect for Ages 4 – 11 all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday 2nd August The Changing Chase at the Museum Cannock Chase

 

ARGUK Plain Horizontal Transparent

The Amphibian and Reptile Groups of the UK (ARG) & UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UK CEH) would like to hear about your memories of how the landscape and wildlife of Cannock Chase has changed during your lifetime.

Help to map the history of our living landscape and share your ideas for what a nature-friendly future could look like.

Drop in any time 10am – 4pm.

Light refreshments for those participating.

Sunday 4th August Cannock Chase SACP Logo Join local expert Phil Playford for an insect walk on Brindley Heath to explore the wonderful world of insects.  This event is not specifically for children but would be suitable for accompanied children over 7 years old.
