Insect Week 23rd June – 29th June 2025

Come and partake in a range of activities for all ages – to learn and discover  the wonderful world of Cannock Chase’s  special insects and invertebrates.

Thursday 26th June                Welsh Clearwing  Moth Walk – 1:30pm- 3:30pm

Join  expert Steven Barnes and learn all about this rare moth.  In Cannock Chase SAC we have the largest population of Welsh Clearwing in the UK.

Meet at the White House Car Park WS12 4PR.  Cost £3 per person.  (Up to 30 places available)

Friday 27th June                      Insect Walk and Discovery – 1:30pm – 3:30pm 

Join Phil Playford on an interactive insect discovery walk.    Meet at Cannock Chase Visitors Centre, Marquis Drive, Hednesford WS12 4PW.  Cost £3 per person. ( Up to 30  places available)

Saturday 28th June                  Insectafest – 12:00pm – 4:00pm 

We will have a range of activities  and stand for all ages focusing on insects. so far we  have  a workshop on moths, solitary bees, activities for children lead by Tanglewood and the SAC Project Team.

At Cannock Chase Visitors Centre, Marquis Drive, Hednesford WS12 4PW. Some activities will be bookable and cost £3 per person.
